§ 94. Mr. J. Morrisonasked the Minister of National Insurance what inquiries his inspectors are instructed to make in their investigations to ensure that the public pay their contributions; and if he will give an assurance that inquiries are only made from third parties after refusal of information by the insured person.
§ Mr. J. GriffithsThe instructions are that inquiries regarding the payment of contributions should be made of the person liable to pay them; that is to say, the employer where there is one, otherwise the insured person. I have no reason to think that these instructions are not being observed.
