HL Deb 03 December 1948 vol 159 c778WA
VISCOUNT GAGE

asked His Majesty's Government whether the Central Land Board, in disposing of land acquired by them compulsorily for the purpose of resale, will be guided by the principles enunciated by the Lord Chancellor on July 1, 1947 (Hansard, columns 706–710); or whether any modification of these principles is now contemplated.

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (LORD HENDERSON)

The Board inform me that they have no present intention of modifying the principles enunciated by the Lord Chancellor on July 1, 1947. These principles, however, have not yet been tested by experience, since the Central Land Board have not yet purchased any land.

House adjourned at six minutes past four o'clock.
