HC Deb 02 December 1948 vol 458 c217W
Mr. Platts-Mills

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has yet been informed what were the names of the persons in respect of whose arrest the Government of the Malayan Federation offered a reward of 120,000 Straits dollars; what was the war record of each of these men; and which of them were invited to take part in the Victory Parade in London as representatives of the Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army.

Mr. Creech Jones

The names of the 12 men concerned are: Chian Tien alias Kau Chye alias Lau Kau, Lau Mah, Ong Chien Hwa, Soon Voon Keng, Pai Tze Moke, Wong Ching, Teng Fook Leong, Choo Ah Kong, Pang Kun Yin, Fong Choon Loy, Lee Soong alias Chuah Siew Ngan and Wu Tien Wang. The first eight are reported to have served in the M.P.A.J.A. in various capacities. The war records of the four others are not known, but the last three are thought to have been members of that organisation. The first seven attended the Victory Parade in London.
