HC Deb 02 December 1948 vol 458 cc193-4W
10. Mr. Erroll

asked the President of the Board of Trade why licences for the importation of U.S. bookbinding machinery have been granted when a British firm, of which he has been informed, is able to offer quick delivery of similar machinery produced in this country.

Mr. H. Wilson

I canot trace the issue, after February, 1947, of any import licence for the type of machinery in which the firm referred to by the hon. Member is interested.
