§ Dr. SummerskillDuring the period January to October, 1948, United Kingdom imports of coarse grains from Russia totalled approximately 720,000 tons or 26.5 per cent, of all imported animal feedingstuffs. In addition 33.2 thousand tons of coarse grains were shipped under the Russian agreement, to areas of United Kingdom procurement responsibility. Deliveries of grain under the Russian contract have been completed.
