§ Mr. Philip Noel-BakerAs my hon. and gallant Friend is aware, measures have been taken to regulate the flow of shipping to and from the port of Beira. As a result, vessels are no longer delayed as they were in 1947. In March, 1947, the total imports and exports amounted to 114,929 tons. In March, 1948, the figure was 165,615 tons—an increase of well over 40 per cent. I hope this increase may continue.
