Mr. Platts-Millsasked the Minister of Defence if he will publish a list setting out the military bases within the British Empire leased to the U.S. Government; the bases in respect of which there is an agreement for joint use by the British and U.S. Armed Forces; and the bases, ports, and harbour installations which have been made available to any of the U.S. Armed Forces during the past six months.
§ Mr. AlexanderInformation about bases leased to the U.S. Government will be found in the White Paper on Bases Leased to the United States of America (Cmd. 6259) As regards the remaining parts of the Question, there are no agreements for joint use of bases by British and U.S. Forces, but the United States Navy has,44W in accordance with normal procedure, paid visits to a number of British ports during the past six months.
