HC Deb 26 April 1948 vol 450 c8W
Mr. Philips Price

asked the Minister of Agriculture how many persons have been engaged during the last twelve months to enter the National Agricultural Advisory Service; and from what services are they recruited.

Mr. T. Williams

Two hundred and six persons have been appointed to the National Agricultural Advisory Service during the past twelve months. A number of these were recently qualified students, and most of the remainder were recruited from the staff of county agricultural executive committees, universities, colleges and research institutes, local authorities, and from industry.
