§ 92. Mr. F. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Health what action he has taken to associate the medical profession in the United Kingdom with the work of the World Health Organisation; and to bring to the notice of the general public its achievements in campaigns against venereal disease, tuberculosis, malaria and pestilential diseases.
§ Mr. BevanThe Organisation's first meeting has not yet been held. But I associate myself with the general objects to which my hon. Friend refers, and shall not overlook them.
§ 94. Mr. F. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Health whether His Majesty's Government has issued any invitation to the World Health Organisation to hold the World Health Assembly in London in 1949.
§ Mr. BevanThe first meeting of the World Health Organisation, which I had hoped might be held in London, has now been arranged for Geneva in June. I shall consider whether at that meeting it would be possible to offer accommodation in London for the 1949 Assembly.
