§ 84. Mr. Wadsworthasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the unemployment in the building trade and the availability of building operatives and building materials in rural areas, he will now give consideration to the giving of a grant for the reconditioning of rural houses.
§ Mr. BevanLegislation would be required for the purpose suggested by the hon. Member, but I am sending the hon. Member a copy of a recent circular which deals with the issue of licences for the reconditioning of houses. I am not aware of any substantial unemployment in the 165W building trade in rural areas and I shall be glad if the hon. Member will give me details of any case he has in mind.
