§ Mr. H. WilsonI have -been asked to reply. Licences are not normally issued for the import of bird seed from any source. I understand that some quantities of bird seed have been purchased and illegally imported under the guise of gift parcels. There is no concession allowing import by purchase and any such imports are liable to confiscation.
