Mr. Glenvil Hall

Mr. Langston, an officer of the Central Office of Information, addressed conferences of representatives of women's voluntary organisations in Scotland at their request, to help them in spreading among their membership an understanding of the economic situation. Mr. Langston's justification of inessential imports was based upon, and consistent with, paragraphs 78 and 79 of the Economic Survey, 1948.
