HC Deb 21 April 1948 vol 449 c144W
61. Commander Maitland

asked the Secretary of State for Air when he proposes to complete the removal of ammunition from the road verges at Tumby Woodside near Horncastle, Lincolnshire, to enable the contractors to commence work on a much needed water scheme for this area.

Mr. A. Henderson

I am not at present able to give the precise date when the work of clearing the road-side verges to which the hon. and gallant Member's Question refers will be completed. I can, however, assure him that every effort will be made to clear them before work is due to start on the local authority's water scheme.
