§ 79. Mr. G. Thomasasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether in view of the increased responsibilities of the Civil Service he will institute an inquiry into the methods and standards adopted by the Civil Service Commissioners in the selection of new entrants to that profession.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallNo. The new entrants recruited by the Civil Service Commission are of good quality and the Government do not consider that an inquiry is needed. But the methods of selection employed are kept under review and are improved and adapted to new needs when necessary.
