§ 6. Mr. Mikardoasked the Secretary of State for Air why he is carrying out building work at the R.A.F. Station, Shinfield Park, without proper consultation with the Perks, Oxon and Reading Joint Advisory Planning Committee or the local authorities concerned.
§ Mr. A. HendersonI very much regret that owing to a misunderstanding on the part of my Department the local authorities were not consulted about this work. A meeting will be held next week at which certain questions which the local authorities have raised can be fully discussed, and I hope it will be possible to reach an agreement satisfactory to all concerned.
