HC Deb 13 April 1948 vol 449 cc69-70W
Sir Graham-Little

asked the Minister of Education whether he is aware of the case, particulars of which have been sent to him, of a student, a certificated teacher before the war, who had received assistance from his Ministry in connection with his certification, and who now desires to take a. degree, in order to improve his teaching, but has been refused assistance because of that earlier aid; and if he will review this decision.

Mr. Tomlinson

It cannot be claimed that the teacher in question was prevented by the war from qualifying as a teacher and he does not come within the scope of the Further Education and Training Scheme. I am corresponding with the hon. Member on the point.
