HC Deb 28 October 1947 vol 443 c51W
86. Mr. Mikardo

asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the total value, from 1st July, 1947, to the latest convenient- date, of import licences for goods for re-export, and of exports of these goods.

Mr. Bottomley

During the three months July-September, import licences to a value of £2,336,000 were granted in respect of goods for re-export in the same form. The exports of imported merchandise during the same period were over £11,000,000, but this includes goods not requiring an import licence.
