HC Deb 28 October 1947 vol 443 cc63-4W
124. Sir F. Sanderson

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is now in a position to state what the public are to do with their gas masks; and if he will consider making an announcement on the wireless or in the Press.

Mr. Younger

The position remains as my right hon. Friend stated it some months ago. The salvage value of the component materials of the civilian respirators which the public were then again asked to keep in their own charge does not justify special collection. No doubt this statement will be given due publicity.
