HC Deb 26 November 1947 vol 444 c289W
Mr. Osborne

asked the Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that wheels and tyres, batteries and tools, rolls of linoleum, cloth curtains and brass taps were recently stolen from the Strubby aerodrome, Lincolnshire; if he is satisfied that adequate steps are taken to protect Government property; and if there was any negligence in this case.

Mr. A. Henderson

Yes. The thieves were caught and have been convicted and all the property has been recovered. A court of inquiry has examined the matter and has found that there was no negligence on the part of the R.A.F. detachment guarding the station.
