Mellorasked the Minister of Food why, although requested by the Savoy Hotel, his Department has so far failed to give any ruling whether meat coupons should be cancelled in ration books of the residents and the staff, to whom no meat could be offered owing to the unlawful intervention of third parties; and what is the position.
§ Mr. StracheyIn these special circumstances we have ruled that the meat coupon need not be cancelled.
§ 84. Sir J. Mellorasked the Minister of Food what steps he has taken, or proposes to take, to ensure that the Savoy Hotel shall receive the quantity of rationed meat due to it.
