§ 6. Sir J. Lucasasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if members of the Palestine Police Force invalided out have the right of appeal for pensions in the same way as members of His Majesty's Forces.
Mr. Creech JonesNot in the same way because the basis of entitlement to pension is different. For members of His Majesty's Forces the matter is governed by Royal Warrant whereas members of the Palestine Police Force come under local pension laws. It is, however, always open to a member of the Palestine Police Force to appeal in any matter relating to pension either to the High Commissioner for Palestine or through the High Commissioner to me.
