Mr. Piratin

asked the Minister of Food how many bacon rations require to be surrendered for the slaughter of a pig for consumption by the owner.

Mr. Strachey

The owner has to surrender 52 bacon coupons unless he sells half the carcase to the Ministry, when he is not required to surrender any coupons.
