§ Mr. Charles Smithasked the Minister of Food whether he will place in the Library a summary of any estimates formed from information in the possession of his Ministry about the food and agricultural position of the European countries which did not participate in the recent Paris Conference, with special reference to the possibility of any food being available for export from these countries during the years 1948 and 1949, respectively.
§ Mr. StracheyI have no reliable information as to the future food and agricultural position of the countries in question, but I am keeping in touch with developments in those and other countries with the object of securing any foods available for export.
