§ 108. Mr. S. O. Daviesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to what extent and in what manner the saving of £200 millions in capital expenditure will affect the Development Area of South Wales.
§ Mr. MarquandIt is not yet possible to state with certainty the precise effect upon individual undertakings in the South Wales Development Area or elsewhere. The forthcoming White Paper will give the general programmes of capital investment next year, including that for factory building. The application of this programme to particular areas and activities is now being worked out by the Departments concerned.
