§ Mr. GaitskellIn the first nine months of 1947, consumption of aviation spirit in this country for civil purposes was 67,650 tons, including consumption by aircraft engine manufacturers. Consumption in 1948 may reach 130,000 tons but no close estimate is possible at the present time.
