HC Deb 13 November 1947 vol 444 c105W
Mr. Blackburn

asked the Minister of Health how many applications for reduction of rent were made to Rent Tribunals established under the Furnished Houses (Rent Control) Act up to the summer of 1947; in how many cases rents were ordered to be reduced; and in how many cases, where rents were ordered to be reduced, was the landlord concerned an owner-landlord or a tenant-landlord.

Mr. Bevan

16,235 references were made to Rent Tribunals, of which 4,571 were invalid or were withdrawn before a decision was reached. 10,789 references were decided and rents reduced in 7,714 cases. I regret that the information asked for in the last part of the question is not available.
