HC Deb 13 November 1947 vol 444 c98W
48. Mr. Baldwin

asked the Minister of Labour how many Polish men and women there are in Great Britain not gainfully employed; and to what extent they are being maintained from public funds.

Mr. Ness Edwards

This information is not available. If, however, the hon. Member has in mind the Polish Resettlement Corps, I would refer him to the replies given to the hon. Member for Tiverton (Mr. Amory) on 6th November, a copy of which I am sending him. Members of the Corps are maintained from public funds pending their absorption into civil employment or repatriation.
