HC Deb 13 November 1947 vol 444 c108W
110. Dr. Jeger

asked the Minister of Education whether in view of the fact that the last Burnham Committee report on teachers' salaries accentuates the differences between amounts paid to men and women, and also, by treating older children as higher financial units, lessens the incentive to become teachers in infant schools, he will decline to implement the report.

Mr. Tomlinson

I am not able to announce my decision on a report which has not yet been submitted to me.
