§ 95. Mr. Turtonasked the Secretary of State for War how many soldiers who were reported as missing or prisoners of war and are believed to have been in Germany or Poland, remain untraced; and what steps are now being taken to search for them.
§ Mr. M. StewartThe number is 12. Every endeavour is still being made to trace through their comrades and through military attachés in the countries concerned nine of these men. In the remaining three cases it appears, unfortunately, that no further steps can usefully be taken as every possible line of inquiry has been followed up without success.
