§ 118. Mr. Attewellasked the Minister of Works if he will give favourable consideration to applications for licence for the improvement of existing village halls, in view of the importance of such halls to community life in rural areas.
§ Mr. KeyI realise the importance of village halls in rural areas, but I cannot hold out any prospect at present of greater facilities for improvements in view of the pressure of other important work upon building resources in rural areas and of the restriction that has been announced upon new construction generally.
