HC Deb 10 November 1947 vol 444 c6W
Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Agriculture, in view of the fact that there is no record of those who have gone out of the pig and poultry business since 1939, what steps he is taking to ensure that at least as many persons as in 1939 who have the facilities are being given rations to comply with his request to produce as much pig and poultry produce as possible.

Mr. T. Williams

Coupons are issued in each rationing period for all the rationed feedingstuffs available for distribution, and I do not think that steps such as the hon. Member suggests would be practicable as present or would serve any useful purpose.
