§ 71. Mr. Osborneasked the Minister of Transport why the Grimsby fish train must be loaded by 3.30 p.m. since it does not leave the sidings until 6 p.m. or 7 p.m.; and how many thousands of tons of fish have been wasted during the past four months owing to inadequate transport facilities.
§ Mr. CallaghanFish for London is normally accepted up to 4 p.m.; when landings are heavy, the hour is extended to 4.45 p.m. Time has to be allowed after acceptance to complete loading. As far as I know, there has been no substantial loss from transport causes, but I should be glad to receive any information on the subject which the hon. Member may have in his possession.
