HC Deb 10 November 1947 vol 444 cc15-6W
109. Mr. Watkins

asked the Minister of Works how much expenditure he has authorised on Cwrt-yr-Aber, Aberedw, Radnorshire, for repairs, new houses and buildings, respectively; and whether he will give the acreage and tillage area of the farm.

Mr. Key

Work involving a total expenditure of £6,505 has been licensed in respect of Cwrt-yr-Aber, most of it for repairs and extensions to the farm buildings and the remainder for repairs and alterations to the farmhouse. No new house-building is involved. I am informed that the total area served by the farm buildings is 122 acres, including 20 acres of tillage.

110. Mr. Watkins

asked the Minister of Works how much money was spent, how much cement was used and how many men were employed and for what period, in repairing White Hall, Aberedw, Radnorshire; what protest was received from the Colwyn Rural District Council; and what explanation was given.

Mr. Key

£1,567 has been spent on repairs to White Hall under licences granted by my Ministry in 1945 and by the Colwyn Rural District Council in 1946. About nine tons of cement were used. I have no record of the number of men who were employed. I am not aware of any protest by the Colwyn Rural District Council in respect of work at these premises.
