§ Major Bruceasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he will give the names of those ships which have been equipped, since 16th April, 1947, with galleys up to the U.S. standard.
Mr. DugdaleSince 16th April, 1947, seven more vessels, making a total of 57, have been fitted with electric galley ranges. They are: cruiser, "Newcastle"; stokers' training ship, "Imperieuse" (ex "Resolution"); depot ship, "Forth"; destroyers, "Battleaxe," "Scorpion," "Crossbow," "Corunna."
