§ 65. Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that, since the banning of foreign travel for pleasure outside the sterling area, there is a greatly increased demand for travel facilities to such places as Cyprus, Ceylon, Bermuda and Malta; and what is the policy of his Department in this connection, both generally and with regard to each particular Colony.
§ Mr. Rees-WilliamsMy right hon. Friend is naturally anxious to encourage tourists to visit the Colonies and to ensure that adequate travel facilities are available for this purpose as soon as they can be provided. If the hon. Member has in mind particular cases in which the existing facilities are inadequate and will let me have particulars of those cases I shall be pleased to consider whether improved travel facilities can be provided.
