§ Mr. IsaacsUnless granted deferment or postponement, a young man called up to any one of the Services may expect to join within six to eight weeks of his 18th birthday. The period varies according to the number of older men in the field of call-up at the time the young man becomes available and the trade or branch of service concerned.
