HC Deb 03 November 1947 vol 443 c172W
Sir I. Fraser

asked the Attorney-General whether he will inform the House of the number of pension appeals that have been allowed, disallowed, adjourned and withdrawn, respectively, by Assessment Court No. 2A; and similar statistics for Assessment Courts Nos. 1A, 3A, and 4A.

The Solicitor-General

The hon. Member will no doubt realise that a comparison of the numbers of pensions appeals allowed by different Assessment Tribunals has little or no significance, since the personnel of the Tribunals, which travel from one town to another, is frequently changed. But I will give the figures asked for.

Allowed. Disallowed. Adjourned, Struck Out.
Tribunal 1A 338 462 238 38
Tribunal 2A 147 591 198 37
Tribunal 3A 189 261 205 16
Tribunal 4A 107 371 149 13
