HC Deb 03 November 1947 vol 443 c164W
Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Supply if he has had an opportunity of considering the complaints of redundant staff at Fort Halstead, resulting in men not having sufficient work to occupy their time; and if, in view of the labour shortage, he will release as many as possible for productive work.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

I have no evidence that there is any under-employment at the Ministry of Supply establishments at Fort Halstead, but if the hon. Member has any such evidence and will let me have details, I will have the matter investigated.
