Mr. Harold Daviesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps have been taken to come to an agreement with Guatemala to provide a road from Flores through British Honduras to the sea; and how long this issue has been a dispute between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Guatemala.
Mr. Creech JonesThe possibility of constructing a road from Guatemala to the sea was first mentioned in a Convention concluded between His Majesty's Government and the Government of Guatemala in 1859. The question is again under examination between the two Governments.
