HC Deb 13 May 1947 vol 437 c144W
Sir W. Smithers

asked the Postmaster-General why the post town for the parish of Nazeing in the county of Essex has been changed without consulting the residents; whether he is aware that new dies for stationery are impossible to obtain at the present time; and whether he will cancel the recent alteration.

Mr. Wilfred Paling

There has been no change in the post town for the parish of Nazeing, neither is any such change in contemplation. I am sorry that through an unfortunate misunderstanding the postal address of the village as it appears in a Post Office publication and in certain records was amended in error. I am arranging for this alteration to be cancelled forthwith.
