§ Mr. F. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Pensions how many ex-Servicemen from the second world war have been awarded disability pensions on account of fibrositis; and how many have been granted a pension for other rheumatic diseases.
§ Mr. J. HyndI regret that the records are not in such a form as to enable exact figures to be given, but up to the end of March about 6,000 ex-Servicemen of the second world war had been granted disablement awards for fibrositis and all ed complaints, 21,000 for diseases of the joints, many of which are of rheumatic origin, and 6,000 for rheumatic diseases of the heart.
