§ Mr. Gammansasked the Minister of Works if he is aware that Messrs. Maycrete Sales, Limited, have never been informed why their prefabricated houses are not suitable for erection in this country, although a thousand of them have been exported to Holland; and if he will state in what respect they are not suitable
§ Mr. KeyThe firm received a copy of the Building Research Station Report of 22nd July, 1946, on the Maycrete system of construction which indicated that the system was likely to be satisfactory in principle for permanent housing if the external surface were covered with a durable veneer but that there was insufficient evidence to say whether the system would be satisfactory without the veneer.
