§ 64. Mr. W. J. Brownasked the Secretary to the Treasury if he will now 262W announce a conclusion of the consideration of claims concerning gratuities to locally-entered civilian employees of the United Kingdom Government serving in Palestine; and what retrospection will be allowed, having regard to the long delay in reaching a settlement with the various Government Departments concerned.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallI regret the delay in dealing with this claim. It is now being considered in the Treasury and I will let the hon. Member know as soon as a decision is reached on it, which I hope will be very shortly.
