§ Mr. Wilkesasked the Secretary of State for War when soldiers at present stationed in Greece and whose demobilisation group number is 45 will be demobilised in the United Kingdom; and whether he will state the reason for the delay in demobilising from Greece soldiers in Group 45.
§ Mr. BellengerSoldiers in Group 45 stationed in Greece were generally speaking, released at the appropriate time. It may be that a few were retained as operationally vital. So far as I am aware, however, on 28th February there were only two men of this Group still compulsorily retained in the whole of M.E.L.F., which includes Greece.
