HC Deb 26 March 1947 vol 435 c208W
Mr. Ayles

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will provide for the publication of a full record of the results achieved by the research department of the Post Office during the past 10 years or other appropriate period.

Mr. Burke

Technical publications, notably those of the Institute of Post Office Electrical Engineers which have a world-wide circulation, are used as being suitable and convenient for the timely publication of the results achieved by the research department of the Post Office. In view of paper shortage and printing difficulties, it is not considered desirable at present to publish a full record of past achievements, but an illustrated booklet describing the current work of the research department is being prepared.
