§ 101. Mr. Price-Whiteasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what requests have been made to farmers in Kenya that pigs be raised as sausage and lard pigs rather than as baconers, in view of the shortage of refrigerated shipping from Kenya to this country; if he is aware that there is still no market for such products owing to the absence of tins for the packing of lard and sausage meat for transport in non-refrigerated shipping; and if he will take steps to ensure that such lard and sausage meat is made available 78W in this country and thereby avoid continuation of the present losses suffered by Kenya farmers in this matter.
