§ Mr. Emrys Robertsasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will withdraw from military officers, at Command H.Q., the power to sign notices for the taking of land under the provisions of Regulation 52 of the Defence (General) Regulations, 1939.
§ Mr. BellengerThe officer in charge of administration at a Command Headquarters has authority only to renew orders made under Defence Regulation 52. Any proposal to use new land is submitted to the War Office. I do not consider that any change in this procedure is necessary.
