HC Deb 11 March 1947 vol 434 c149W
33 Mr. Rankin

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that Mr. Andrew Barclay has received notice to remove from the premises at present occupied by him at 148, Carnoustie Street, Glasgow, upon 28th May; and as, in that event, Mr. Barclay will be rendered homeless, what action he proposes to take in the matter.

Mr. Westwood

I understand that the premises referred to consist of a shop which is partly occupied as a dwelling-house. The question whether the partial occupation of the premises as a dwelling-house might afford the tenant any protection under the Rent Restriction Acts could be decided only by a court of law.
