HC Deb 11 March 1947 vol 434 cc159-60W
96 Mr. Gunter

asked the Secretary of State for War the amount paid by Pioneers Film, Limited, for surplus E.N.S.A. cinematograph stock between September and December, 1946; if the tender sub- mitted by this firm was the highest received; and the figure of the tenders submitted by G. de R. Studios, Limited, and British Films, Limited.

Mr. Bellenger

The disposal of surplus E.N.S.A. cinema equipment is handled by N.A.A.F.I. not by my Department. I am, however, informed by N.A.A.F.I. that the successful tender for this equipment was at the time of its acceptance the highest received. The disposals organisation set up by N.A.A.F.I. was described in a reply which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Doncaster (Mr. Walkden) on 14th May, 1946, of which I am sending my hon. Friend a copy.
