§ Mr. DurbinThe estimated requirements, as stated by the responsible Departments, in terms of building trade labour at the end of the financial year 1947–1948 are as follow:
Ministry of Education 69,000 Ministry of National Insurance 4,000 Universities 3,300 Development area factories (Estimated) 38,500 The building programme as a whole is, however, now being reviewed in the light of these estimated requirements and the building labour and materials likely to be available.
